Kosher ADHD Certification Program

Kosher ADHD offers training to psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and school guidance counselors interested in optimizing their therapeutic skills in working with students with ADHD and associated disorders.

The program consists of 60 academic hours of training and includes the following:

Desk with computer, pencil, notebook, and other work supplies. Shows workload of ADHD certification.
  • A detailed understanding of Developmentally Attuned Parenting and its roots in Eriksonian, Kohutian, and behavioral psychology and neurology.
  • An integrated understanding of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a Biosocial Disorder with a particular emphasis on its effect on Jewish Identity.
  • Training in leading Parent Groups for Parents of School-Aged Children with ADHD.
  • Training in leading Parent Groups for parents of adolescents with ADHD.
  • Training in leading In-Service Training for teachers in Jewish Day Schools dealing with both heterogeneous and special populations.

In addition to formal learning, participants will view videos of Kosher ADHD being applied within actual classroom situations and will learn how to navigate challenging situations with parents, teachers, and children.

Those successfully completing the Kosher ADHD training will be certified as Kosher ADHD therapists by the Israel Academy of Social-Emotional Learning and the Jacob’s Ladder Institute for Jewish Identity.

The training program will be offered in a hybrid manner combining 15 Zoom classes and 15 hours of supervision. In addition to the professional certification listed above, individual applicants who can prove a minimum of 8 years of teaching within a recognized Jewish Day School will also be considered for professional certification.
